Sumo Canary

Sumo canary is one my favorite designs. Little song birds like canaries might not soar like eagles or talk like parrots, but I've seen them scold much larger creatures, tapping on their dishes to demand attention and stomping their feet when they are displeased. The amount of character and personality that can be packed into a body that weighs less than an ounce is just alluring.

Sumo canary is one of my most traditional origami designs folded from single square. Of course, its legs are wired and anchored to the base so when you tap their tails, they kind of rock backwards and forwards. 

Finished size: 5" long x 4-1/2" tall x 4-1/2" wide. $220 mounted pair.
