Cats

I could fill several recycle bins with failed attempts at capturing the shape and essence of cat. One might think that if I could design Origami Dog, and understand that design well enough to adapt it to commissioned origami likenesses of other dogs that are taller, longer, thinner, rounder, brachycephalic, long-eared, short-eared, bushy tailed, tail docked, etc, I could figure out Cat. I did, but it took years and remains, like real cats, a bit elusive and an ongoing work-in-progress.
